About

Welcome to Croft and Crew! I’m so excited you’re here because it means you too are in persuit of improving your health and life. We need more people like you! One reason I started this blog, is because I was always looking for recipes and information on specific topics, but always had to jump around to look for what I wanted and ended up hodgepodging and experimenting with everything I gleaned to get the result I was looking for. I kept thinking how nice it would be to have a go-to site that I could trust to have everything I’m looking for in one place. I hope to be that for you.

If you’re looking to learn about: milling your own grains, baking with sourdough, cooking wholesome nourishing food, gardening, canning, freeze drying, or ways to improve your life, health, and home, then you’ve come to the right spot. Warning! I use a lot of butter.

A little about Me:

I’m Soryn, born, raised, and dwelling in Washington State. Nothing feels more uncomfortable to me then talking about myself but since you clicked on the “about me” tab, I guess I’ll have to oblige, but under protest. My husband Micah and I are currently raising our four little boys on a farm we are renting, hence the name of my blog, Croft and Crew, (a croft is a farm worked by a tenant) but we are actively looking for a place of our own to put down roots. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom and LOVE it! I strive to make wholesome nourishing food from scratch, and grow as much of our own food as possible. Every summer I grow a flower garden and sell wrapped bouquets at the roadside. I also enjoy thrift store shopping, camping, and learning knew skills. And this goes without saying, but I am a terrible writer. So I apologize for all the typos and grammatical errors you come across in my writing.

I know there are a thousand blogs out there just like this so it means a lot that you visited mine.
